St. Peters to get $42M affordable apartment development

ST. PETERS, Mo. — Together We Grow is a national real estate development company that focuses on building commercial, market-rate, affordable, and senior housing. They will be creating more housing at Reserve at Spencer, a $42.9 million affordable multifamily community in St. Peters, Missouri.The Reserve at Spencer will comprise units designated for families with incomes that are less than 60% of the area's median income. The four-story building will have 192 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The location is 4000 Ryleigh Reserve Lane, formerly known as 4975 Veterans Memorial Parkway in St. Peters, situated right next to the Napleton car dealership and just south of I-70. The Reserve at Spencer neighborhood is currently under construction, and it should be complete by the end of 2024.

Amid local and national calls for police reform, the Boulder Police Department has released its Reimagine Policing Plan, which outlines a set of new goals and strategies for the city’s force that are designed to minimize crime and arrests and reduce disproportionate effects on communities of color.“It is abundantly clear that policing cannot continue as it is. CU Boulder expands emergency notifications to certain off-campus neighborhoods

The University of Colorado Boulder expanded the area in which it sends emergency alerts to include off-campus neighborhoods that are heavily populated with students.The expanded alert area includes the University Hill neighborhood, the Goss Grove neighborhood near Folsom Street and Canyon Boulevard, the Lower Chautauqua neighborhood and the residential area north of Williams Village called Baseline Sub, according to a news release.The expansion started as a pilot program in October and is in response to feedback expressing the need for more information on incidents that occur in popular areas near campus.“We heard our stakeholders’ desire for more information on life and safety issues not just on campus but also nearby, which led to the pilot expansion,” CU Boulder Chief of Police Doreen Jokerst said in the news release. “We’ve received positive feedback from students, their parents and employees of the university, leading to our decision to continue the program, while assessing its...

A teacher in Chino Hills was arrested by San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies Thursday morning following a complaint from school staff that he may have been intoxicated while teaching.Clifford Harper, 49, of Rancho Cucamonga, was arrested around 11:20 a.m. at Robert Townsend Junior High School on the 15000 Block of Ilex Drive.Faculty at the school called authorities to report their suspicion that Harper was under the influence of alcohol with students in the classroom.Deputies investigated the report and arrested Harper at the school. He was taken to the Chino Hills Police Department and booked into jail.
