TCU’s Sonny Dykes takes jabs at refs, SMU after beating former school again FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — TCU coach Sonny Dykes had already ripped the officials with unsolicited comments when he was asked about the rivalry with his former school, SMU, being one step closer to a pause.“Hooray,” a smirking Dykes deadpanned without elaborating as another reporter started asking an unrelated question.Dykes led the Horned Frogs to the national championship game last season. (AP) — Ethan Gettman connected on a 38-yard field goal with under two minutes left in regulation, then hit from 37-yards out in overtime to lift Bryant to a 16-13 win over Princeton in a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon.Princeton took a 13-3 lead to start the fourth quarter after Dareion Murphy scored from 5 yards out, but the Tigers fumbled away their next possession. (AP) — The New York Jets placed left tackle Duane Brown on injured reserve Saturday, leaving quarterback Zach Wilson without his starting blindside blocker against the New England Patriots.The 38-year-old Brown was initially ruled out earlier Saturday just for the game Sunday by the Jets after the offensive lineman missed practice all week. 1 dead in Lakewood shooting, 2 suspects in custody DENVER (KDVR) -- Police in Lakewood said one person died and another was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning.Two suspects were arrested in Aurora following the shooting. Woman killed after hit-and-run crash in front of Aurora hospital At approximately 12:34 a.m., police responded to the 9000 block of W. Virginia Ave. where they said they found two men injured with gunshot wounds.The victims were taken to the hospital, one was expected to survive but the other was pronounced dead, LPD said.The suspects Tylor Serrano, 20, and Nautica Galvan, 21, were taken into custody near the 100 block of S. Sable Dr. in Aurora.Serrano is facing charges of second-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and others, while Galvan is facing charges of accessory to a crime, second-degree kidnapping and other charges, according to police.Both suspects were booked into the Jefferson County Jail.Lakewood police said the incident is still under investigation, no further details were released.
