ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) -- An alleged armed suspect was shot and killed by an Englewood police officer on Saturday, the department said.Police responded to a suspect with a gun at the Lucky U Motel at 4575 South Broadway around 12:45 p.m. The 911 caller said the suspect pointed the gun at him and threatened to rob and shoot him, according to a release from the Englewood Police Department. The suspect fled when officers arrived, EPD Public Information Officer Scott Allen said in a news conference Saturday afternoon. Police encountered the suspect around Princeton Avenue and Broadway and he took off, starting a chase. Officers caught up to him near East Oxford Avenue and South Broadway.
