After 178 days at Broward Health Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), baby “Forrest” is finally going home.Born prematurely at just 30 weeks, Forrest weighed slightly over two pounds and faced numerous challenges, including four major surgeries. However, he defied all the odds thanks to the dedicated care of the Broward Health NICU team and the support of his parents.

A fatal shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade prompted a swift response by officers. Miami-Dade Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene at 8400 SW 107th St., Friday afternoon.7Skyforce hovered over the scene where one person was seen in the back of a police cruiser.It is unclear whether the person who was detained was involved in the shooting. State’s first-ever Topgolf facility opens in Canton

After a cold start, temperatures rebounded to seasonable highs today. It was breezy with winds gusting out of the southwest 20-25 mph. It’ll stay breezy this evening, but the wind should fade by sunrise tomorrow. Tomorrow, will be mild with sun and clouds. Sunday will bring a few more clouds and temperatures near average. More importantly it stays dry.Overnight, some cloud cover and a slight breeze will keep our low temperatures near 40° to the low 40s for MetroWest and in the mid/upper 40s on the coast. We’ll see sun and clouds tomorrow and keep the southwest wind. Temperatures will warm to the upper 50s/near 60°.Sunday stays quiet. Dozens of journalists are the victims of war crimes committed by the Israeli Defense Forces and Hamas, according to a complaint filed with the International Criminal Court by a media freedom group.Since the war sparked by an incursion of Hamas backed terrorists into Israel began in early October, 34 journalists have died, according to the group Reporters Sans Frontières, or Reporters Without Borders. Their deaths violate ICC rules on indiscriminate attacks and targeting of people protected under the Geneva Conventions, the group told the Hague prosecutor’s office.“The scale, seriousness and recurring nature of international crimes targeting journalists, particularly in Gaza, calls for a priority investigation by the ICC prosecutor.
