CHICAGO (AP) — Tyler Johnson and MacKenzie Entwistle scored in the second period, and the Chicago Blackhawks topped the Seattle Kraken 4-3 on Tuesday night.Jason Dickinson and Boris Katchouk also scored for Chicago, and Petr Mrazek made 33 saves. It’s been closed for more than 20 years, but it’s still a venue that so many D.C.-area natives remember.This weekend, there will be a celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Capital Centre in Largo, Maryland.The arena made history when it opened in December of 1973, and would continue to make history until it was shuttered in the late 1990s, replaced by what is now downtown D.C.’s Capital One Arena. It sat just outside the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway at Arena Drive, not far from where a hospital and Metro station sit today.This weekend, former employees and others who want to celebrate the venue will gather to mark its 50th anniversary. (KDVR) -- A Colorado babysitter is facing charges of felony child abuse after a 2-year-old boy in her care ended up in the hospital with serious injuries.McKinley Slone Hernandez, 25, was arrested in Lakewood on Thanksgiving Day, nearly three months after reportedly causing serious injuries to the young boy's head, neck and arms.  Do you recognize these suspects who are wanted for retail theft? Apartment security issues worry Centennial renters

Some 83,000 burglaries occurred during the 2022 holiday season, which is more than 8% of all thefts, according to a Porch.com study.
