Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are asking for the public's help to locate a homicide suspect who is considered armed and dangerous.Crisanthony Zavala-Guerrero, 21, is wanted for the murder of Michael Carrillo, who was shot and killed on the morning of Oct. 29 on the 44800 block of Fig Avenue in Lancaster.Carrillo was found wounded and rushed to a local hospital where he later died.Crisanthony Zavala-Guerrero, 21, is shown in this undated photo provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Gascón announces exoneration of 2 men wrongly convicted of murder

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón held a press conference earlier this month alongside two men who were recently exonerated after spending decades behind bars for murders they did not commit.During the news conference on Dec. 13, Gascón apologized to Giovanni Hernandez and Miguel Solorio for their wrongful convictions, while taking time to thank members of the D.A.'s Office unit that works on cases like these.The exonerations were the third and fourth by the D.A.'s Office this year. 61-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision near Tehachapi BoulevardCALIFORNIA CITY, CA (December 28, 2023) – Sergio Banks-Jacobo was involved in a deadly pedestrian crash Sunday morning on westbound Highway 58.At approximately 1:13 a.m., law enforcement responded on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Tehachapi Boulevard. At least 10 dead, dozens hurt in fog-related pileup in Turkey

Associated PressANKARA, Turkey — A chain-reaction crash Thursday involving seven vehicles on a motorway in northwest Turkey killed at least 10 people and injured 57 others, officials said.The pileup occurred in dense fog and low visibility on the Northern Marmara Highway in Sakarya province, some 150 kilometers (93 miles) from Istanbul.An investigation has been launched into the accident but Gov. Yasar Karadeniz of Sakarya said it likely occurred when a vehicle hit a truck in poor visibility, triggering other crashes at the rear.At least three intercity buses were involved in the crash.Authorities believe some passengers died when they left their vehicles and were struck by another vehicle, Karadeniz told reporters at the scene.Seven of the injured were in serious condition, the governor said.Police and emergency personnel were seen clearing the wreckage at the scene.

45-year-old man fatally stabbed South of Market, SFPD investigating as homicide

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department is investigating an incident in which a 45-year-old man was fatally stabbed Thursday morning as a homicide. SFPD officers with the Southern District responded at 5:37 a.m. to the area of Mission and Washburn streets on a report of a stabbing, police said. Good Samaritans shot at Pinole gas station, gunman found under I-80, police say At the scene, officers located two victims: a 45-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman. Both were suffering from apparent stab wounds.SFPD rendered aid and called for paramedics. Medics transported both victims to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
