Surveillance video shows suspect stealing iPhone from pet supply store in North Miami

Police are searching for a suspect accused of stealing a phone from a pet supply store. The Raw and Kibble, located at 1673 NE 123rd St., was hit by the thief, Monday morning.Surveillance video showed the moment the suspect stole the business’ iPhone, which contained important information on vendors and clients.“All of our Instagram accounts, our WhatsApp, some information from the merchandise, from people that we contact,” said Amanda Rodriguez, sales representative at Raw and Kibble.The store tried to locate the iPhone using tracking apps, but they believe, the crook disabled the device’s tracking capabilities.If you have any information on this crime, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Deceased woman found in Atlantic Ocean identified as Deerfield Beach resident

Boca Raton Police have identified a 34-year-old woman from Deerfield Beach as the individual found deceased in the Atlantic Ocean last Friday morning. The woman, Megan Beaudet, was discovered approximately one mile east of 1100 S Ocean Boulevard.According to police, at approximately 9:15 a.m. on August 11, officers from the Boca Raton Police Marine Unit stumbled upon a body floating in the distance during a routine patrol. Following the discovery, the body was retrieved, and the Boca Raton Police Investigative Services Bureau assumed control of the investigation.Beaudet’s vehicle was located in the vicinity of the Pompano Beach Pier. Surveillance footage captured her walking along the beach around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10. Miami Uber driver arrested following alleged sexual assault on passenger

An arrest has been made in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a young woman who was visiting the Miami area. According to the arrest report, on Aug. 11, the victim, a 25-year-old woman, had been out with friends and had become heavily intoxicated. Around 1 a.m., her friend ordered an Uber ride for her, which was driven by 43-year-old Alejandro Tochoytochoy, of Miami.While in transit, the victim, feeling sick, was lying in the rear seat of the Tochoytochoy’s vehicle. She reported to law enforcement that she woke up to find the Tochoytochoy allegedly fondling her and attempting to digitally penetrate her. Frightened by the situation, the victim exited the vehicle near her intended destination.Following the incident, the victim positively identified Alejandro Tochoytochoy as the man responsible for the assault. Law enforcement located and interviewed the defendant on August 14. Subsequently, Tochoytochoy was arrested and transported to TGK.The charges against the defend...

A man accused of shooting and killing his mother in Danville, New Hampshire earlier this month faced a judge Tuesday and was ordered held without bail. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said police officers responding to a 911 call found Denise Damato-Coe, 59, shot to death in her Danville home on Aug. 3.James Coe, 20, was arrested on Aug. 9 at the Revere Public Library after a warrant was put out for his arrest. Coe has been charged with second degree murder in the case. He appeared virtually in court on Tuesday and waived his right to an arraignment.

A Bit Better Wednesday

Well today was a bit of a clunker with rain, clouds, drizzle, and cool temperatures. The steady and heavy rain did clear out around midday but still left overcast skies and cool temperatures behind. I looked to see what today would be for coolest day since… but the problem is our high temperature was actually 75° which makes that stat less impressive. Rainfall amounts from this morning varied from a quarter-inch to almost a full inch.We’re not done with this storm system yet. It’s stretched out and goes all the way to Detroit. Now that said, we are done with the steady and heavy rain. While we have spotty showers back tomorrow, they’re nowhere near what it was this morning.Regardless, that moisture still has to slide through New England, so some of us will deal with more showers for tomorrow morning’s commute. Two departments reopen at Brockton Hospital after February fire

Two departments at Brockton Hospital are back open for business roughly six months after a fire forced the entire hospital to close back in February, a hospital official confirmed Monday. Signature Healthcare Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications Lorraine McGrath in a statement said the hospital’s wound and infusion departments are open for scheduled procedures in the Brockton Hospital building. Emergency crews responded on Feb. 7 after an electrical fire broke out inside the hospital. The response grew to 10 alarms and all patients and staff were ultimately forced to evacuate. Most Brockton Hospital departments were moved to other locations while repairs are made at the hospital. While the wound and infusion departments have reopened, there were still no emergency services at Brockton Hospital as of Tuesday. 

Police look to ID man who allegedly smashed MBTA bus window after drinking, spitting while aboard

The MBTA Transit Police Department is looking to identify a man they believe caused a disturbance on a bus before he disembarked and damaged its windshield.On social media, the TPD said it was around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13, when a male suspect was allegedly consuming alcohol and spitting on the floor while aboard an MBTA bus in Arlington.According to authorities, the suspect then allegedly used his bicycle to smash the bus’s front window after he got off.The police department shared several images from the incident, including the damage dealt to the bus as well as a photo of what is believed to be the suspect.Anyone who recognizes the individual is asked to contact the department at 617-222-1050.https://twitter.com/MBTATransitPD/status/1691469232775876608
